Values

Independent – ADSI is not controlled by any political or ideological, national or international authority. This freedom of thought and opinion allows ADSI to operate without undue influence and in the best interest of those ADSI seeks to serve.

Prioritize Local Capacity – ADSI prioritizes working directly with the local population when implementing actions, developing and strengthening the capabilities and expertise of the local community. Sourcing and employing locally is focused on eliminating dependence on external help, building and strengthening local capacity.

Impartial – In the eyes of ADSI, the victim must be the primary concern in every circumstance, irrespective of any political, religious or social differences or beliefs. This does not prevent ADSI from identifying those people or institutions responsible for specific disaster situations, either natural or man-made catastrophes, and from taking a public stance on the matter.

Sensitive to Local Cultures – ADSI develops its actions by establishing methods and behaviors that fully respect local cultural and religious traditions.

Transparent – ADSI operates thanks to the funds from public and private donors, and makes available their budgets for every project. 100% of private donations go directly to the projects they are intended to support.

Professional in Solidarity – ADSI’s priority is the delivery of critical services and goods to those in need, and as such, is indifferent as to who leads a project or receives the credit for successful project execution.
